According to the latest reports on boxofficeindia.com, the film earned an estimated Rs 6-6.25 crore nett on its second Tuesday, thus taking its overall total to an estimated Rs 196 crore nett. With this, the film has now officially beaten Akshay Kumar‘s cop drama ‘Sooryavanshi‘ at the box office. The only film that stands in the way of making it the highest-earning post-pandemic release is ‘The Kashmir Files‘.
Going by the numbers, trade experts predict that the film will wrap up its second week at the box office with a total collection of Rs 74-75 crore nett.
The lifetime business of the film depends on how much the film will rake in on its third Friday. While the movie has managed to hold strong despite new releases, it remains to be seen if it can hold up against the next big releases like actor Yash’s ‘KGF Chapter 2‘ and Shahid Kapoor‘s ‘Jersey‘ that hits theatres on a Thursday.
While the Hindi dubbed version makes its way to the 250 crore mark, the film’s overall collections have shot past Rs 700-750 crore nett making it the second best to only ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion’.
As the film continues to rake in the big bucks, S.S. Rajamouli got the party started as he joined the team for a huge success bash. The director was spotted shaking a leg with Telugu director Anil Ravipudi at a private event in Hyderabad. The makers of ‘RRR’ hosted a celebration which was attended by Rajamouli, NTR, Ram Charan, Dil Raju, Anil Ravipudi, other noted film personalities, and technicians.
Jr NTR had made Rajamouli swear that he would dance to ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the success party, during their interview and was not willing to let the director off the hook with this promise.
“Rajamouli had made us do this step more than 50 times, during the shoot. I wish we choreograph him after the movie’s success and enjoy the show when he keeps dancing”, NTR told news portal IANS.
