Having delivered a blockbuster like ‘Baahubali’, expectations are always high from Prabhas. His latest release ‘Radhe Shyam’ failed to click with the audience and didn’t emerge as a huge success. Speaking about the film’s failure, Prabhas recently told a news portal that it could be because of covid or maybe they missed something in the script. ‘Radhe Shyam’ was a period love drama and the actor also added that maybe the audience doesn’t want to watch him in love stories, which is why the film may have tanked.

Speaking about the audience’s expectations, Prabhas had previously told BT, “The audience wants to see Prabhas as Baahubali, and they want that image every time. For me, it is not always exciting. Yes, of course, I enjoy doing it when I take on a project, as we grew up watching films like Superman, Spider-Man and we will continue to make and watch such big films and superheroes on screen, and I will too. But at the same time, I also want to do smaller films. I want to do something different in terms of storytelling and entertaining the audience, and I am planning that.”

Prabhas has a promising line up of projects ahead. He will be seen in Om Raut’s epic period saga ‘Adipurush’. This mega movie also stars Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in pivotal parts. He also has ‘Salaar’ with Shruti Haasan and Project K with Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
