The special court said, “… prima facie it transpires that the accused is well connected with the co-accused pertaining to such illicit trafficking of drugs. It is also observed that the claim that merely small quantity has been seized is of hardly any consequence as the material collected by the prosecution clearly demonstrates the complicity of the accused in the crime. Therefore, considering the involvement of the accused in the alleged offence along with the co-accused, this is not a fit case for grant of bail.” According to a report, apart from the contraband, the prosecution had submitted ‘shocking and incriminating material’ that was found from Kohli’s mobile phone and that there were alleged links to international drug and prostitution cartel in the form of pictures and chats. The Bollywood actor has been reportedly lodged at the Arthur Road jail since his arrest last year.
